Stable Veldhoek in Lemelerveld is still a young company that has arisen from the love of horses and a well thought out breeding policy. The founder of stable Veldhoek, Herman Boeve, started years ago with a number of mares from very interesting performance stock. Initially the choice was mainly for German blood lines such as Holstein, Hannover and Oldenburg. Father horses such as Gotthard, Lavendel, Furioso, Ramiro, Landgraf, Lord and Grannus had then already shown that they could deliver a number of talented foals. By making use of the best French stallions such as Ibrahim, Alme and Narcos the foundation was lain for a modern stallion farm which produced horses from the best blood lines of Europe. Proved performance blood was combined with new young talent where they were always selected on health and exterior.
The aim was to always breed performance horses with a good character and a healthy correct basis. Horses which meet the high requirements which top sport asks of them. Success was the logical consequence, both in sport and in endurance riding.
Examples are Volontaire under Jos Lansink, Hopschots under Jur Vrieling and stallions Hinault and Karthago. Besides its own breeding products a number of interesting geldings have also been bought. Stable Veldhoek has proven that breeding and sport can really go hand in hand.
